Welcome to San Gabriel Baptist Church!

Thank you for visiting our web page. We have been praising God and doing His ministering for more than 160 years. We invite you to come and worship with us.  Preaching is from the Bible; singing is from hymnals; and our welcome is from the heart.  It’s like coming home and back to the basics of worship, Bible study, and fellowship. 

We are located at 263 County Road 421A in the small community of San Gabriel, Texas. We are six miles north of Thorndale, Texas just off FM 486 North. We’re about 15 miles from Rockdale and 20 miles from Taylor.   (Goggle map us for more detailed directions.)

We are a Southern Baptist Church and an Acts 1:8 community of believers.  Acts 1:8 says “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  We are exemplary in our giving and support to community benevolence needs, and local, state, national, and international missions.
