Wednesday Services: Services begin at 7 pm. Our adult group is studying verse by verse a selected book in the Old or New Testament. Bro. Tim Cheatham is teaching the course. Special activities are provided for children and youth. These are led by Danna Cheatham. Everyone is invited to join the adults, children or youth in this mid-week study, worship and prayer service.
Our regular monthly 3rd Sunday luncheon fellowship is a special time of breaking bread together. Each member family generally brings one or more items to share. There is always plenty to eat and great conversation as we use this time to catch up on friends and families. Everyone is invited to join us whether members or not!
The Saturday Old-Fashioned Gospel Singing is a quarterly event (on the Saturday before the 5th Sunday) of outreach to the local communities in Milam and surrounding counties. The evening generally features congregational singing, of convention and contemporary gospel music as well as traditional hymns. Refreshments are served in the fellowship hall following the singing. If you enjoy the type of gospel music written by Bill Gaither, Albert Brumley, John Peterson, and Fannie Crosby, you will enjoy this evening of praise and worship through song. Everyone is invited!
The Lord’s Supper is a church ordinance observed every quarter on the 5th Sunday as part of the morning worship Service. It is also observed on special occasions for Easter and Christmas.
Family Movie Nights are hosted primarily during the summer months. A Christian movie is shown following a light supper. These may be shown outside “under the stars” (weather permitting) or in the comfort of HVAC in the Fellowship Hall.
There are mission projects throughout the year that include individual participation of time, prayers, and monetary contributions. In addition to these mission efforts, the congregation participates in recurring Lottie Moon, Mary Hill Davis, and Annie Armstrong mission drives. Of special interest to the congregation is the support of the Rockdale Pregnancy Center of Hope and Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.
